I know that it is not brunch o’clock, but this week has been so busy that I didn’t have time until now to write this post.
THIS is a home to me, it is a mini break from the ‘old’ Canterbury feels.
Location: 4 St Peter’s St, Canterbury CT1 2AT
Kitch cafe is where you can order breakfast and brunch until 4 pm- that’s right people 4 PM! They offer vegetarians and vegan options as well as gluten-free dishes. Another amazing thing about Kitch is that everything is cook made to order so you can expect fresh and flavourful dishes.
Kitch is situated at the top end of the high street, while it is not easy to spot if you’re not intentionally looking for it, the cute outdoor seating area might make you stop and look. The white metal chairs and the charcoal grey tables are extremely picturesque.
Once you enter the cafe, you will be greeted with welcoming faces of the staffs there. Depends on the time of your visit, it would likely be busy and you might have to wait for a table to be free- this is due to the size of the cafe as well as its popularity. Anyways, once seated, the soft pillows, marble table and aesthetically pleasing decors will make you forget that you’re in Canterbury, but transported to a mini London cafe. The background music is normally UK charts which are extremely recognisable and good conversation starter.
The best bits
While I haven’t fully tried everything on the menu, I know it will taste amazing due to my past experiences. Kitch offers special dishes which are available on the weekends and you can have soy, almond and coconut milk instead of regular milk. I would highly RECOMMEND having coconut milk in your match latte. It is heavenly!
Kitch is ideal for that gossip session with the girls, spa day or just because you want good food!
