changes can be good… not long now

update post image

hey hey,

I haven’t been on here for a while, actually, that is a lie, I’ve been on here, but just not posting. While I was away, a lot has happened since my trip home which I wanted to write about but the trip was more of a family visit rather than a fancy holiday of a life time to Thailand. This doesn’t mean that I didn’t enjoy and loved the trip back, however, the trip was more of a family gathering, so it didn’t feel appropriate to be taking photos of everyone at every encounter.

Anyways, I want to jump back on here to say that I have big news for you guys. I’ve had and jumped right into the pool of blogging as I’ve bought my own domain name and is designing everything. I will fill you in on everything through

While I’m planning to use a template to start off, the site will be designed by me and coded by my close friend. Your girl doesn’t know those technical aspects yet…

All I want to say is THANK YOU FOR EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO FOLLOWED, COMMENTED, LIKE OR SHARED MY THOUGHTS AND OPINIONS. So, I would be extremely grateful if you could email subscribe to my next blog.

** I will explain all the changes on Style Discts once the site is ready**

Day-to-day, Uncategorized

hey hey,

  1. 2nd year of university is done! all I have left is 7 finals ahh
  2. Due to loads of deadlines, this meant I have not posted in a while, super sorry!
  3. I’m back home [HOME] so this next 2 weeks will be lacking as well

if you check out my Instagram, you can follow my day-to-day [can’t promise a constant update as data and wifi signal is not great here]

Processed with VSCO with a6 preset

Even more updates on what’s happening and why I’ve been so quite…

it has been a crazy few months since the last uploads and updates

I’ve finished my finals (over four weeks now) and I know, WHY HAVEN’T I POSTED ANYTHING??. Well, since started this little thing, I’ve always wanted to create a space where I can create and control the contents but as many of you know, technically WordPress owns everything I put out through The Rooftop View.

Since now I have more free time, I going to create more contents (more interior, more food, and definitely more fashion). I’m also going to dip my little fingers into beauty which might seem like a new thing to be blogging about, but, IRL, I ADORE beauty products from skin care to fragrances. So, please keep an eye out for my new site/blog/diary, but in the meanwhile, follow my IG (HERE) to keep up to date. I’m trying to achieve one of my year goals, which is to be more present whether in person or online- I need to learn to share and update people in my life of what is happening. This can be hard, as I’m quite a private person sometimes, I go through phases of not sharing anything to sharing every five minutes. To help me to achieve this goal, I’m planning to use my Twitter a bit more. I know, I don’t think people even know that I have a Twitter account haha…. if you want to keep updated with me… follow my Twitter (HERE) for instant thoughts updates rather than pictures and videos on IG.

Finally, my new site will be under a different name (because is not available, sadly), self-hosted (because I want to own my own ideas) and self-designed (because I love to design) BUT it will be similar contents just with a new twist. So, please keep an eye out for the new site.

Hey hey,

Wednesday is finally here and 2 weeks until last day of the second year and THAILAND!!

While I’ve been showing you what my style is but haven’t really mentioned who, what and where I’m influenced by…

Claire is one the main influence when it comes to chill and street vibes styles because I love her edgy jeans and a white tee. I first felt in love with her style when I saw her video of 3 Quick Fall Outfits <<HERE>> Ever since that video, I’ve been following and seeing how her style changes and how it also affects me and how my street and relax wears changes as well.

THE QUEEN OF BOHEMIAN!! I’ve been a fan of Vanessa Hudgens since the OG days (HMS4LYFE). Anyways, as you know I have 2 styles, the street and the sweet sides especially during the Spring and Summer. Her influences on me are the stripes, light tones and hairstyles.

The other HUDGENS. Stella gives more of a sexy feel with a bohemian twist. The off the shoulders and cleavage style.

Amy’s feminine flowy dress and she are always up to date and on trends which why she influences my style so much when I want to try and experiment on up current trends.

I don’t love not just because of her cooking and sense of humour but also her easy business style yet sexy. Her twist on a classic on a button up and blazer!

Emelie knows how to layer different items with different accessories! If you’re stuck on how accessories then she is your go through girl!!

HB! The girl who how who knows how to make plain items looks stylish without trying- me all day every day if I could!

Who’s your style influencer?

Perfect Valentine’s Day | S2

Fri-yay, Uncategorized

✨ Welcome to Fri-Yay ✨

Hey hey,

Fri-Yay is a segment focusing on beauty and lifestyle from travelling to hacks, tips and DIY [i’m not sure on the DIY part yet]

as part of my Perfect Valentine’s Day series, today’s post will be based on what I would do before getting ready!! This is the pre-pre getting ready in 6 steps btw.

This could be for anyone in any kind of relationship. Netflix still counts right?? That is one of my longest relationships yet! [Thank you GS]

Anyways, shall we…

Research your outfits | this is a major key as the rest will fall into place if you know what you’re going to be wearing. Depending on how I feel that day and what I’m doing, I would pick one main piece and build my outfit from there.

Check out my Pinterest for inspiration…

Winter style | Latte and black boots

Summer/spring style | Sunkissed & coconut water

What you already have | after getting inspired by your research, everyone always think that they need to buy new pieces to look good. This is WRONG– well depends on the pieces. If you were inspired by a limited collection of Chanel Couture Spring Collection, it is very unlikely that you would find something even similar to their design.

Anyways, have a look at what you have in your closet and see what you have and try to find something similar to your inspired look. Most outfit tends to have one piece of basics such as black jeans, jacket and/or simple tee.

Plan the second outfit | I know this might sound crazy and why would you put yourself through the process of finding another outfit. Well, I don’t know about you but sometimes I change my mind at the very last minutes just because if I didn’t really feel the outfit.

So I always have my backup outfit which is ‘all black everything’. You might figure this out already that I love black… it is my go-to colour. Black jeans and black top. If I want to add colours to my outfit, I would do through accessorising with rings, necklaces and shoes.

Decide your makeup look | I know that not everyone goes all out with the Instagram makeup look but researching on what look you’re aiming for will reduce the time on the day. This will decrease your stress level.

If you’re trying that cut creased or glitter eyes then I would recommend practising it at least once if you have never tried it before- trust me on this, attempt cut crease when you only have 30 minutes to get ready will not go well 😂

Prep your skin | this is a must especially if you’re planning to go out clubbing as your skin will dehydrate much faster than a romantic dinner date kind of night. I always try to make sure that on the day, I would leave enough time to apply a hydrating face mask and then tone my skin and add moisture back to my skin through either oil or serum.

Enjoy the process |  If your makeup didn’t turn out how you wanted it and your outfit is not exactly like your inspired look, DON’T WORRY.

Remember, it is not what you look like that makes memories, it’s the company[ies] and being in the moment!

Have an amazing night,

whether you’re going to a candle lit dinner,

out with the girls/guys,

just sitting on the sofa with bae [real life or Netflix]

Comment what are your pre-pre getting ready routine!

Uncategorized, Wedneday Wardrobe

Hey hey and we’re back!

This time Wednesday Wardrobe is going to be based on Valentine’s Day!

While I am a single pringle, I still love to dress up for dates night with my girls- one of my favourite pass time activities!

This dress is pretty thin as there is only a slip-on dress underneath, so on a cold day, it would not be ideal. However, the dress does complement all figure, shape and size due to the sheer materials which make it extremely adjustable. For example, as the dress is a little bit long for my preference, I’ve added a belt to raise up the helm line for a more flirty feel.

I know that this is an all black outfit and most ‘Valentine’s Day looks’ will consist of a pop of red, pink tone pieces but this could be easily done through accessories!. I think the sheerness of the dress and the deep V added an essence of spice and sexiness to the whole look without revealing too much!

BTW: This is not sponsored by H&M, I just really like their recent releases!

I hope this is an inspiration to anyone who’s looking for

a cute dinner date outfit

just want to rock an all black look!

*side notes: look at those calves tho!!- ty cycling 🚴🏼

Hey hey,

I hope that the Monday Blues haven’t hit you guys too hard today!

After an extremely cold day yesterday, I see the appeal of having an LA winter and being able to wear a single layer rather than three!

Since Spring in the UK is 3 months away, here are some photos I would wear if I live in LA right now.

Here are some songs for that long morning journey….

to uni, work…

The Royal Native Oyster Stores, Whitstable | Review

Sunday Sanctuary, Uncategorized

Hey hey,

Happy Sunday

welcome back to Sunday Sanctuary!

As today was extremely cold, this just reminded me of how much I love spring! The fresh flowers, food and outfits!

So, to me

spring = seafood!

details wofc1.jpg

details WOFC.jpgName: The Royal Native Oyster Stores

Location: Horsebridge Rd, Whitstable, CT5 1BU

Cost: ££

As mentioned, spring represent fresh start! This is why I love the Royal native oyster stores- they provide fresh seafood dishes that are prepared amazingly.

Follow their Instagram for more photos and updates!

The restaurant is located right in front of the beach and it is within the Whitstable Oyster Fishery Company store. It is very easy to locate because of the unique building and easy to spot entrance.

Location: 9/10

The sea smell, wind and seagulls set the perfect atmosphere for the restaurant! The rustic theme of wooden, simplistic and traditional decoré created a homely feeling yet still very chic which I adore so much. The wooden tables, exposed brick walls and white accents decorations were some of my favourite things about the restaurant!

The staffs were extremely hospitable, quick and friendly! Our waitress at the time knew the today’s special and the whole menu off by heart which reflects how much the restaurant cares about their products and customers. I have never visited a restaurant where waitresses knew everything that was available!

Atmosphere: 10/10

The important part… what I ate!

I would totally RECOMMEND EVERYTHING ON THE MENU! I know this might sound extream BUT they offer some of the freshest seafood available! They don’t over complicate their dishes but kept the cooking process simple and allow for the seafood to take centre stage instead. With most seafood restaurant, I always feel like the over seasoning or sides always take away the quality and taste of the seafood itself!

Taste: 10/10

Overall: ★★★★★
